Why Healing Yourself is So Important
Taken from Jennifer Nicole Lee’s Mind Body and Spirit Book available as an ebook, at the ebook section on the website.
No one can heal you, for you. You must do it yourself. Stop playing
the victim and start being victorious! The amazing part is that we can
heal ourselves, and we don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on an
expert to do so. It’s this inner spiritual work that will actually liberate
us in our own lives. It’s about letting go of the negative past, and not
allowing it to dwell in our present. Focusing on negative past events
will put the brakes on your success and hold you back from progress-
ing, not to mention draining you mentally, physically, and emotionally.
remember: We all wake up with a $1000 worth of energy. If we
spend $200 of that on what this person did to us in our childhood, and
another $200 on what that person did to us five years ago, and another
$200 on what that person said about us yesterday, and then another
$200 on what this person is doing to us now, and finally another $100
of energy on how unfair life is, we’ll have little to no energy to focus on
our goals and spiritual growth! Stop wasting your energy playing the
victim, and start healing yourself. Don’t allow those negative experi-
ences and less-than-worthy people to steal your present joy and future
successes.
Forgiving someone is a powerful exercise. However, after you
forgive them, this doesn’t mean that you have to hang out with them,
speak with them, or become friends again. The choice of whether or
not to allow this person into your personal space again is entirely yours.
The most important thing is to forgive them so that the negative energy
generated by your anger and pain won’t continue to cloud your mind,
force you to emotionally eat, or be drained physically.
